Randomizing the Content Query Web Part in SharePoint 2010

Have you ever been working on a SharePoint project and had one of those requirements for randomly choosing items from a list (or set of lists) and displaying them on a page? It’s usually for a “Featured Photos” or “Featured Articles” section or something along those lines.

    thanks so much for posting this article, I found it very helpful. The source code is great, I deployed the solution straight to my site and the random CQWP worked immediately, no problems at all.
